Founding purpose

Labor policy research institute is organization for making professional and systemic alternative plan of democratic labor union work under subjective circumstances. Since founded in 1992 it has been working labor policy research, labor counselling and education, and labor union information providing by will to not rely on one specific line.

Especially since 1994 April 12th it began labor work database service<labor union information(TU)> by Chunlean network, and managed biggest labor database in the country.

Also 1994 October 6th, it published new FAX newspaper<Labor union information> published 4pages everyday until it closed in 1999. 

In the meantime, 1992 June, it founded 'Association for migrant labor human rights' then worked on counselling, education work for improved human rights.

Since 1998 June, manager of labor policy institute became manager of labor human rights institute two united together.

Activities

(1) Labor policy research work
    Present policy research: employment problem, payment, system fixations
    Foreign case research: finding a precept from history of Japan, Germany, Sweden
    Open policy lesson: lesson for using policy research results in labor place
    Publishing business: publishing research results and other labor books

(2) Labor counselling and education work
    Labor counselling: counselling for delayed payment, unfair dismissal, industrial disaster, migrant labor problems
    Labor union counselling: problems related to labor union every day activity such as unfair labor work, quitting, part time job
    Labor law counselling: counselling/free supporting law suit work about labor related law's use.
    Educational work: labor union education, policy manager education, topic education for seasons.
    PC network counselling: counselling by PC network

(3) Labor information service
    Provides policies, researches, examples about labor news, labor policy, labor union work, labor law by networks as Chollian.
    Publishing <labor union information> by fax.
    Service for searching requested information and editing work

(4) Labor union advising work
    Law advising as everyday work, labor union advising work

(5) Outside work
    Perform all time, temporary outside work
